Our attention is usually distracted because thoughts of the past, present and future are happening in us simultaneously. Time wrinkles up in our consciousness, and these folds of time draw our lifelines. When we listen to music, we can delve into the many layers of our time perception, unfolding our view of the world. In this state, we come to realize that it is precisely the collection of all the little things and trivialities that results in something beautiful after all.

 

Under the title "Time Folding," Neue Kammer invites you to explore the question of how music and movement influence one's listening. In addition to the performing members of Neue Kammer, the internationally acclaimed taiwanese dancers Nai-Hsuan Yang and Chien-Hao Chang will perform under the direction of Art Director Ching-Tien Lin.

The program includes world premieres by Anna Korsun and Kilian Verburg, arrangements based on works by Monteverdi, Dowland and Schütz as well as their original works.
