The versatile and interested Ching-Tien Lin / Nickname: Anzu was born in Taiwan in 1987.  His excellent grades enabled him to go to a school specialized on Visual Arts for particularly talented children and later to complete a bachelor's degree in Drama at the renowned Taiwan National University of the Arts. With the aim of learning the German art of acting, he first went to Berlin, whereupon, after a number of detours, he moved his center of life to Leipzig in 2018 and started in the following year a master’s degree in elementary music and dance education at the Leipzig University of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” which he completed in 2021.

His aesthetic sensibility and his diverse ways of rethinking performance make him a sought-after initiator and advisor for contemporary performances. He focusses particularly on the playful transformation between reality and creativity. He is particularly interested in perceiving, leading, staging and representing this transformation as a process and thus questioning and considering human existence. He perceives borders as leeway.

In recent years he has been able to build an excellent reputation as Creation Consultants (artistic production consultant) in his home country Taiwan, and is one of the most sought-after of his kind in Taiwan today. His two last works with the choreographer Lin Su-Lien are among his greatest successes, both of which were nominated for the important Taishing Prize (“Hey! Lady, please look at me!” & “One, and then to Five”).

The connection between everyday life and the performing arts is currently the starting point for his discussions. The focus of his work can be found in theater, dance and dance theater as well as everything in between. When implementing his projects, he attaches great importance to the equal integration of laypeople in the work of professionals.

In Leipzig, he realized the pedagogic-aesthetic sound theater "Du Bist Nicht Allein" and the performance "Als Ein Mensch" with percussionist Johannes Bode as an artistic reaction to the pandemic. For the young Leipzig ensemble of contemporary and early music Neue Kammer he created the performative concert "MORO LASSO" in November 2021 and for it another performative concert entitled "Ich Höre Woanders" in 2022.

In fall 2022, the choreographer Nai-Hsuan Yang invited him to Taiwan (National Taichung Theater) to be her creation consultant for her contemporary piece "Je suis en forme", which received a guest performance at the Staatstheater Darmstadt in 2023 at the Festival Fokus Taiwan. In the same year, he again created as Art Director with Ensemble Neue Kammer, his third music and movement based concert "Zeitfaltung" with artists Nai-Hsuan Yang and Chien-Hao Chang as the main performers.

At Gewandhaus Leipzig, his performative concert "Mit dir weiter" will be presented by the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig  in May 2024.
