▍SPIEGLEIN, SPIEGLEIN - Reflecting Truth|SEEKLANG Festival 2024
The music begins: the mirror rises like the sun. After seeing ourselves, we stand and walk, coming from all directions to meet. Connections form between people, sounds emerge between people and instruments, and between music and people, there is expression and mutual feeling. We create many kinds of duets, and our feelings with the audience flow like mist on a lake, filling the space.
We tidy our appearance in front of the mirror and tune our instruments in front of the people, while the eyes of others reflect another version of ourselves. We are mirrors for others and things, and in this, I see the reality—the vitality of "who we really are." This vitality is a light that illuminates us and others, helping us find each other and exist together within our limitations.
We photograph and document every moment that is simultaneously passing and occurring.
And we began this way: meeting at Concerto21, reuniting at Jesper's invitation, and, in trust, love, and passion, growing into that night's concert with Yannic Borchert on stage, reflecting all of this with the audience by the beautiful lake in Hergiswil.
Creating in this way is blissful, and advancing calmly towards the unknown with wonderful souls is both dark and brilliant. How fortunate we are.
For this, I wish to offer my eternal thanks.
